Chicken Tenders
As always, measure with your heart.
Ingredients:
- 750gr Chicken breast
- 500mls Buttermilk
- 500gr Flour
- 3-4 spoons of Signature Seasoning Medium
- Salt & Pepper Sprinkle
Method:
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 190 degrees Celsius.
- Slice Chicken into even strips
- Combine flour & seasoning in a large bowl
- Put buttermilk in another bowl
- Individually dredge your strips in the flour lightly
- Submerge in the buttermilk
- And dredge in the flour again, gently packing it onto the chicken
- Carefully drop chicken into hot oil, about 4-6 pieces at a time, depending on the size of your pot. Cook until golden brown, crispy, and cooked all the way through, 6 to 8 minutes. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. (Internal temp of 65 degrees Celsius)
Hot Tips
- Any lightly flavoured cooking oil will do, like vegetable
- Sprinkle with a little salt and pepper or chicken salt while still hot
- Serve with fries or mash or any sides you like
