Chicken Tenders

Ingredients:

 Method:

  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 190 degrees Celsius.
  • Slice Chicken into even strips
  • Combine flour & seasoning in a large bowl
  • Put buttermilk in another bowl
  • Individually dredge your strips in the flour lightly
  • Submerge in the buttermilk
  • And dredge in the flour again, gently packing it onto the chicken
  • Carefully drop chicken into hot oil, about 4-6 pieces at a time, depending on the size of your pot. Cook until golden brown, crispy, and cooked all the way through, 6 to 8 minutes. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. (Internal temp of 65 degrees Celsius)

Hot Tips

  • Any lightly flavoured cooking oil will do, like vegetable
  • Sprinkle with a little salt and pepper or chicken salt while still hot
  • Serve with fries or mash or any sides you like
